All eyes are on Virat Kohli, who starts on an overnight score of 87, just 13 runs shy of a 29th Test century. Kohli made a slow start to his innings on the opening day of the match, thanks partly to the quick fall of wickets at the other end soon after his arrival at the crease. However, the former India captain dug in and found an able partner in Ravindra Jadeja (36*). While the West Indies won the second session, Kohli and Jadeja ensured that India don’t lose any wickets in the third and by the end of the day the duo added 106 runs, with India sitting comfortably at 288/4.
