Taran Adarsh emphasized that Animal’s remarkable performance on a weekday is noteworthy. The movie is expected to maintain its strong hold at the box office until the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’s Salaar before Christmas. With this momentum, Animal might join the exclusive ₹500 crore club of 2023, which includes SRK’s Jawan, Pathaan, and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2.

“Animal is a blockbuster, having excelled on the crucial Monday with unprecedented success. Its unstoppable run suggests it will dominate until the big Christmas releases. 2023 is shaping up as a monumental year for Hindi cinema with three films crossing ₹500 crore. Animal stands a chance to join this prestigious league,” mentioned Taran Adarsh, also including the regional figures.

Taran Adarsh shared Animal’s day 3 earnings on X (formerly known as Twitter), calling it a historic weekend despite the film’s ‘A’ certification. He mentioned the film amassed a blockbuster total, collecting ₹70.69 crore on Sunday, with ₹63.46 crore from the Hindi version and ₹7.23 crore from South-Indian languages.

Meanwhile, in an article for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Animal 1.5 stars, criticizing its portrayal of a protagonist who resorts to extreme violence in protecting his family. Chatterjee expressed disappointment in the film’s depiction of the lead character, Ranbir Kapoor, showcasing excessive aggression, bloodshed, and a lack of courtesy even in romantic relationships.
